The Parc National des Volcans in Rwanda is part of Virunga Conservation area and is located in the extreme North-West of the country, bordering Uganda and Congo. It is well know for the seven habituated mountains gorilla families which allows visitors to undertake the exciting gorilla tracking along the hills of the park.

Day 2 Gorilla tracking
After breakfast, there is an early morning entry into the gorilla sanctuary of Parc Nacional des Volcans. The rainforest is spectacular as it offers a dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for tourists. This park is best known for the fascinating mountain gorillas, where the time taken and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time with and observing the gorillas is an awesome and exciting adventure. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with one other. Packed lunch. Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive back to Kigali
Optional activity: Visits the old Karisoke Dian Fossey centre and grave. This is a 7-8 hours trekking within the forest. Spend an extra night at Musanze.
