Day 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya

Arrive in Nairobi for your 12 Days Kenya and Tanzania Family Trip. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your safari guide, who will then welcome you to Kenya and transfer you to your booked hotel in Nairobi. You’ll check in and unwind from the long journey.

There are Child Activities at the hotel that are coordinated by professionals.

Day 2: Nairobi – Magical Meetings With Giraffe & Elephant

On the second day of this 12 Days Kenya and Tanzania Family Trip, wake up and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, visit the Giraffe Center to hand-feed Rothschild’s giraffes, the experience here is really amazing. After a tour at the Giraffe Center, visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. This conservation center in a wildlife rehabilitation center where you can enjoy watching young elephants at play with the keepers who help reintroduce them into the wild. From here, you’ll proceed with a journey to Oloolua Forest for a folklore experience, listening to a storyteller weave folktale handed down for generations.

Later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Visit Amboseli National Park & Afternoon Game drive 

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, depart the hotel for Amboseli National Park. The Amboseli National Park is famous for its big game especially the large herds of elephants and stunning views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. The drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park will take about 4 to 5 hours, arriving in time for lunch. Upon arrival, proceed to the lodge and check in for lunch.

After lunch at your lodge and perhaps a lesson in spear throwing with your Child Activity Coordinator, embark on the first game drive of this Kenya Tanzania Safari Combo. It is time to search for elephants, zebras, lions, hyenas, antelopes and wildebeests among others.You’ll encounter various species on the game drive.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for Dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Full day family adventures in Amboseli National Park 

Wake up and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, get ready for your full day adventure in Amboseli National Park. Board your safari vehicle and start your adventure, drive through different wildlife viewing hotspots in the park for opportunities to spot elephants, zebras, and wildebeest among others.

The morning game drive are great as the most wildlife are likely to be active during these hours as they prepare for their day. After the morning game drive, return to the lodge for a a break. Enjoy a sumptuous meal at the lodge before embarking on your afternoon adventure. In the afternoon, embark on another game drive adventure in the park to search for more wildlife, and to witness the golden savannas set in as the sun goes down. You’ll drive through acacia woodlands, lush marshes, and open plains while searching for wildlife. Later after the afternoon adventure return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Travel to Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania 

This day will be spent on a road trip from Kenya to Tanzania. Wake up early in the morning and enjoy an early morning breakfast before checking out. After breakfast, depart for Tanzania. Drive to Arusha from where you’ll have a stop for lunch before flying to Manyara and later transferring to your lodge, perched on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.

Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater and drive to your lodge. Spend the rest of your day at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro.

Day 6: Exploring the Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy an early morning breakfast before descending into the crater floor for a memorable wildlife adventure. Since your Lodge is located at the crater rim, you are likely to arrive ahead of most visitors to view the resident wildlife at its most active time of day.The Ngorongoro Crater in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized as the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on earth. This Crater is also recognized for its incredible wildlife populations including the African Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant) and many other species that call this place home.

Discover various wildlife viewing spots within the crater floor for a memorable wildlife viewing experience. After your adventure, return to the lodge for a short rest and lunch.  Later, after lunch, visit a Maasai village, where you meet with the village elder and learn how to make the tribal community’s unique beaded jewelry. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park – Cradle of Humankind

Wake up and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park. During your journey to Serengeti, stop for a privately guided visit to Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site housing some of the earliest fossilized human bones.

Proceed with your journey to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy an enroute game drive at the park, witnessing various wildlife along the way. Continue to the lodge. Check in and have lunch at the lodge.

In afternoon, embark on a thrilling game drive in Serengeti National Park. This iconic National Park is known worldwide for its incredible wildlife and endless plains that host the greatest show on earth – the Wildebeest migration. Discover the Serengeti plains on safari game drives, witnessing different wildlife species including the African Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant), zebras, hyenas, cheetahs, hippos, and different antelope species, among others. As the sun goes down, witness the golden savannas of this iconic national park with its incredible wildlife. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park – The Big Five

Today, you’ll continue adventuring in the iconic Serengeti. Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast in the morning and enjoy a morning game drive in the park. Witness the African Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant) and the spectacular wildebeest migration. After the morning adventure, return to the lodge for a lunch break.

After lunch, embark on another game drive in the park to search for more wildlife. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya – Rift Valley

Wake up and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, transfer to the Airstrip to catch your flight to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Arrive in Masai Mara and transfer to your booked safari lodge. Check into your luxury camp near the Mara River.

In the afternoon, after lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. Look for different wildlife species, including the African Big Five (lion, leopard, Rhino, buffalo, and elephant) and the Great wildebeest migration. After your afternoon adventure, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Family Fun

This day will be spent in Masai Mara National Reserve. Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Embark on a game drive adventure in the Reserve, looking out for different wildlife including lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles among others.

After the morning game drive in the Reserve, return to the camp for a relaxation stay as the children embark on coordinated children activities and programs.

Day 11: Maasai Mara Game Reserve 

Today, after breakfast, depart the lodge and embark on the morning game drive. Discover the Masai Mara on this day, following the migration trails to witness this natural phenomena unfold. Visitors will also continue witnessing different wildlife species, including the African Big Five.

Lunch will be enjoy on Safari, you’ll stop over and a safe picnic point for lunch. After lunch, continue with your adventure in the reserve until sundown. Later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 12: Depart Nairobi

Fly to Nairobi and enjoy a reserved dayroom. Transfer to the airport and depart.
