Detailed day by day 8 Days Luxury Tanzania Safari itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) where you’ll be met by a professional safari guide who then transfer you to your booked accommodation at Arusha. Along the way you will be briefed about this luxury tour in Tanzania, all the necessary details of the tour will be given to you. Arive at your hotel in Arusha and Check in.

At the hotel, you will enjoy a sumptuous dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park & Game Drive

Following an early morning breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. Arrive in Tarangire and drive to your lodge for check-in. After, proceed for a full day game drive in the park. Tarangire National Park although less popular than Serengeti and Ngorongoro is a top safari destination for wildlife watching in Tanzania. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds that roam its plains and giant baobab trees that create one of the most stunning views of the wild Africa.  The elephants in Tarangire National Park are easy to spot and are accustomed to human presence so they come very close to your safari vehicle. Expect to witness these massive creatures up close.

You will have a picnic lunch amidst the wilderness and later continue with the exploration of this amazing safari park. Besides elephants, Tarangire is also home to Africa Elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, African buffalos, giraffes, Gazelles, caracal, spotted hyenas, yellow baboon, African wild dog, African civet, and several antelope species among others. You will spot some of these species during your game drive in the park. For bird lovers, there is an impressive number of bird species in Tarangire including; Yellow-collared Lovebird, Lilac-breasted Roller, Red-and-yellow Barbet, Yellow-billed Hornbill, African Fish Eagle, Martial Eagle, White-headed Buffalo Weaver, and Yellow-throated Longclaw among others. Enjoy your adventure in Tarangire spotting different birdlife and wildlife.

Late in the evening, return to your luxury-tented camp or lodge where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Wake up and have breakfast at your lodge and after drive to Arusha to catch a short flight Serengeti National Park. The iconic Serengeti National Park is renowned for its unbeatable wildlife safaris in Tanzania an stands out as one of the best destinations for safaris in Tanzania. The Serengeti plains host some of the most sought-after wildlife species including the African Big Five (lion, leopard, rhinos, elephants, and buffalos).

Arrive in Serengeti and embark on a game drive en route to your luxury camp or lodge. Check-in at your lodge and have a sumptuous meal before heading out for your evening adventure in Serengeti.

After lunch, enjoy an evening game drive in the Serengeti plains to spot various wildlife species. Keep an eye out for opportunities to spot the African Big Five and several other resident wildlife species.  As the sun sets, you will return to your camp for a gourmet dinner and relaxation under the African skies.

Day 4: Full day exploring Serengeti National Park

Wake up early in the morning to and have breakfast at your lodge. Since you will be spending the entire day exploring the Serengeti on game drives, depart the lodge well-prepared. You will enjoy thrilling game drives in the Serengeti plains, seeking out the Big Five and other wildlife species. Explore different regions of the park including the central Serengeti, known for its abundant wildlife all year round, Ndutu Area known for wildebeest Migration and the western region.

You will have a break for a picnic lunch in the heart of Serengeti wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African bush. After lunch, proceed with your adventure in Serengeti, enjoy another evening game drive.

As the sun goes down in the late afternoon, return to your luxury camp for some downtime, perhaps indulging in spa treatments or enjoying sundowners overlooking the vast Serengeti plains.

At your lodge, another exquisite dinner awaits, followed by stargazing or storytelling around the campfire. Later have a rest to gear up for the next safari day of your tour.

Day 5: Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive to the world renowned Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. This area is renowned for itsl large wildlife numbers including lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, elephants among other species. Arrive in Ngorongoro and descend about 600 meters into the crater floor where you’ll encounter an incredible concentration of wildlife, including all the African Big Five animals.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

Day 8: Departure

Today, wake up leisurely and have breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart Lake Manyara National Park and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
