This classic 15 Days Wildlife Safari Africa starts with arrival at Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport. Upon arrival, our representative will be readily waiting to welcome you to the pearl of Africa. You’ll then be transferred to your booked hotel within Entebbe. Very early in the morning enjoy breakfast at the hotel and depart for Murchison Falls National Park. You’ll drive through the beautiful countryside, passing through different popular towns. Lunch will be enjoyed en route. Stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a nature walk to see the rare rhinos in the wild. The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place where you can see the rhinos in Uganda. After tracking the rhinos in Uganda, continue with your drive to Murchison Falls National Parjk. Arrive in the park and proceed to your booked safari lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

The journey today is quite long from Murchison Falls heading southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley.

Drive through Hoima and reach Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, situated in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon, the Rwenzoris. Have lunch. In the late afternoon, you will proceed to Kasenda Craters.

Start your day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, head to the park headquarters, where you join other visitors for a briefing session. During the briefing, the park officials will take you through the chimpanzee trekking guidelines, safety tips during the trek, and what to anticipate during the trek. Apart from chimpanzees, trekking in Kibale National Park offers you an opportunity to also witness various other primate species including the Ugandan red colobus (Piliocolobus tephrosceles), Black-and-white colobus (Colobus guereza), Red-tailed monkey (Cercopithecus ascanius), Blue monkey (Cercopithecus mitis), L’Hoest’s monkey (Allochrocebus lhoesti), Grey-cheeked mangabey (Lophocebus albigena), Olive baboon (Papio anubis), Vervet monkey (Chlorocebus pygerythrus), Potto (Perodicticus potto), Demidoff’s bush baby (Galagoides demidoff),  and Thomas’s bush baby (Galagoides thom). There are also other wildlife species in the forest including forest elephants, among others.

This trek also offers you a unique opportunity to witness the diverse array of birdlife that call this place home, especially first species. You’ll navigate through the forest, searching for these amazing creatures. After finally locating the primates, you’ll enjoy viewing them for about one full hour. At this point you’ll have ample time to take photographs and film the primates in their natural habitat. After your allocated time elapses, return to the visitors center. You’ll the transfer back to the lodge. A refreshing meal will be awaiting you at the lodge.

After lunch, check out of the lodge and start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You’ll drive for about 2 and a half hours before finanny arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an en route drive to your booked safari lodge. Arrive at the lodge and check in. You’ll spend the rest of your day at the lodge relaxing and admiring the beauty of the surrounding area.

After lunch, check out and start your journey to Rwanda. You’ll drive southwards to the Cyanika Border post, where you’ll complete the immigration procedures and proceed to Ruhengeri. You’ll arrive in the evening and proceed with a drive to your booked safari lodge.

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, depart the lodge and head to the park headquarters, where you’ll join other trekkers for a briefing session and then later for gorilla trekking. During the briefing session, the park officials will take you through gorilla trekking guidelines and rules, safety tips and what to anticipate during the trek. After briefing, you’ll be put into groups of 8 members and each group will be allocated a gorilla family.

You’ll grab your trekking stick and follow your ranger guide into the forest to search for the elusive mountain gorillas. You’ll trek for sometime before finally locating the mountain gorillas. After finding the gorillas, you’ll spend a full hour observing them in their natural habitat. Mountain Gorillas share DNA with Humans and you’ll be able to sense familiarity as they try to mimic human behaviors. You’ll have plenty of photography and filming opportunities. After your allocated time elapses, trek back to the visitors center. Return to the lodge where an refreshing meal awaits.

You’ll spend the rest of your day relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Today following breakfast, you’ll embark on yet another thrilling primate tracking adventure in Volzanioes National Park, Golden Monkey Tracking. You’ll head to the park headquarters where you’ll meet other visitors. The park officials will brief you about this experience and then later you’ll follow the lead of your Ranger guide into the forest to search for these endangered primates. Just like mountain gorilla trekking, Golden Monkey tracking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park is an exciting adventure that guarantees excellent sightseeing opportunities. You’ll navigate through the forest searching for the primates.

After finally locating them, you’ll spend about one hour observing them. Unlike gorillas that are generally ground dwellers, golden monkeys are more light and spend most of their time on tree branches. After your memorable adventure, return to the lodge where a refreshing meal awaits. After lunch and a short rest, visit the local communities for an immersive cultural experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

This drive also doubles as a road trip. You’ll drive through the beautiful countryside of Rwanda, witnessing its rolling hills and stunning landscapes. You’ll arrive at the park in the afternoon. Check in at the lodge and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge.

Today, you’ll wake up early in the morning and enjoy an early morning breakfast. After Breakfast, depart the, lodge and head to the park headquarter for a chimpanzee trekking experience. You’ll be briefed about the experience before you finally indulge in the forest to search for the chimpanzees. Chimpanzees in Nyungwe are tracked in Cyamudongo and the Uwinka Area. You’ll search for the primates and after some time of traversing these tropical rainforsts, you’ll finally locate them. Spend about one hour observing the chimpanzees. Later return to the visitors center from where you’ll be transferred back to the lodge.

Day 13: Transfer to Akagera National Park

Today, you’ll travel to Akagera National Park, home to the African Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant) in Rwanda. This journey is another opportunity to witness the stunning beauty of Rwanda, driving through beautiful landscapes and greenery. You’ll arrive in Akagera snd proceed to your booked safari lodge. Check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
