Have breakfast and drive to Fort Portal. You reach the colorful and pretty town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,” the Rwenzori. This lively town is the base for activities around Kibale Forest National Park.

The national park offers one of the most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda, with 70 mammal species and 13 primate species. The drive takes 6 hours. Our guide will meet you at your hotel of residence and you will be transferred to the City Centre where you will be guided to explore the treasures of Kampala and Buganda Kingdom. You will visit the Uganda Museum and the Royal Palace in Mengo together with the Buganda Parliament, then proceed to the Kasubi Tombs the burial grounds for the Kabakas (kings) of the Buganda kingdom. This is an original, traditional Ugandan hut perhaps the biggest found in Africa, with a rich history.
