Lake Eyasi is cautiously an alkaline lake stretching for about 50-km (31 miles) to the southwest. An eye view to the northeast displays a range of visions dominated by the impressive Crater Highlands and the Serengeti plains to the north.

Around the lake, areas are small groups of Bushmen habitats that is; Hadza and Watindiga. These habitat groups go hunting with bows and arrows and gathering roots, tubers, and wild fruits.

Their life is more attributed to that of the Stone age period. These groups have stayed here for over 100 years ever since the Stronger Masai tribe migrated to the Ngorongoro and Serengeti.

Another interesting tribe in the area is the Datoga. Come and explore more about the last remaining tribes of Bushmen in East Africa.

LAKE NATRON IN TANZANIA

This area around the soda Lake Natron is one of the original landscapes in East Africa. It is a Masai dwelling area. The Masai around this area have kept their traditional way and are hardly influenced by modern culture.

Lake Natron harbors millions of birds making it a birder’s ecstasy. Given the fact that this landscape is inaccessible, it was unnecessary to protect it under the National Park administration.

Nevertheless, the area around Lake Natron has got more attractions. Come and take a river walk with two waterfalls, a hike across the Soda Lake with flamingos, where giraffes and other animals are often seen.

Hiking up to the Oldonyio Lengai, an active volcano, is one of the highlights of an adventurous Safari: Oldonyio Lengai is located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley and has erupted fifteen times in the past century.

A rigorous adventure hike to the top of the “Mountain of God” offers an opportunity to view molten lava (magma). From there you have great views of the surrounding landscapes.
