Detailed 8 Days Kenya Wildlife Tour
Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport Kenya
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport, you will be received by an African tour guide who will ensure your smooth transfer to Norfolk hotel where you will spend the night in a premium room. BB
Day 2 & 3: Drive from Nairobi City to Meru National park
Start on your 5-hour drive to Meru national park or you can take a flight from Wilson Airport to Mughwango hill airstrip. You will be received by a representative from Elsa’s Kopje who will transfer you to the Lodge. You will spend two nights at Elsa’s Kopje is a thatch and stone cottage with an en-suite bathroom. Your stay at the lodge is on a full board basis.
While at the park, you will participate in several activities such as morning and evening game drives, Nature walks, Bird watching, Hiking, Fishing, and several other activities of your preference. In addition, Meru national park is the home of several animals such as Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Buffalos, Zebras, Wildebeests, and many other animals such as lions and Rhinos occasionally.
Meru national park is also a birder’s paradise because it is a safe haven for several birds such as; the Eastern chanting Goshawk, Hartlaub’s bustard, Long-tailed Fiscal, Somali Ostrich, and many other magnificent birds.
Day 4 & 5: Adventure in Laikipia Plateau
After breakfast, start on your 4-hour drive to Laikipia plateau. Alternatively, you can take a flight from Mughwango hill airstrip to Ol Malo airstrip where you will be transferred to Ol Malo lodge, which is a thatched and stone cottage with en-suite facilities. Accommodation is on a full board basis including the activities of your preference.
The activities that you will enjoy while at Ol Malo cottages. Include; morning and evening game drives, Camel and horseback rides, Mountain biking, hiking, nature walks, Bird watching and so many other activities of your choice.
The area around Sabuk is wild and hilly with dense acacia bushes harboring the black Rhino, greater Kudu, Reticular Giraffe, Cape buffalo, Impala, Elephant, Klipspringer, Zebra, Eland, Dik Dik, Waterbuck, Lion, Leopard, and many other animals.
Several Birds can also be spotted in this wilderness such as; Black-winged Lapwing, Buff crested Bustard, Crowned Hornbill, Grey crested crane, Hildebrant’s Starling and many other two-legged creatures.
Day 6 & 7: Maasai Mara National park
Wake up early and take a flight from Ol Malo airstrip to Nanyuki airstrip. You will be received by a representative from Kichwa Tembo Bateleur camp who will take you to the lodge. This is where you will spend two nights in a luxurious tent with en-suite facilities on a full board basis.
The activities that you will enjoy include; a morning and evening game drive, nature walks, bird watching, community cultural visits, experiences of the Maasai culture, and many other activities. Hot air balloon trips to Mfangano Island on Lake Victoria can also be arranged at an additional cost.
While at Maasai Mara national park, you will be able to spot all of the big five animals ( Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Rhino, Leopard), various Antelopes, Wildebeests, Zebras, Hippopotami, Crocodiles, Hyenas, Jackals, and many other animals. Maasai Mara is also known as a home to many bird species that you will have the privilege while on your visit.
Day 8: Drive Back to Nairobi City to End 8 days Kenya Wildlife Tour
Start your morning with a game drive through Maasai Mara then proceed to Maasai Mara airstrip and take a flight to Wilson Airport. On arrival, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta airport in time for your scheduled flight back home. For late evening departures, an optional day room can be reserved for you before your flight.
