Kilembe Trail Mountain Hiking Tours, Rwenzori Mountains Hiking Safaris Tour
Rwenzori Mountain Hiking tours via Kilembe trail in the Rwenzori Mountains national park. Kilembe trail is one of the most interesting mountain trekking safari trail on the Rwenzori Mountains and possibly in the whole of Africa. This trail was introduced in June 2009 and it connects Kilembe the base point to various peaks in the Rwenzori mountains.
The trek is a challenge to be enjoyed by nature lovers and mountaineers will enjoy fantastic views, stunning valleys, and a wide variety of plants and trees and unlike Kilimanjaro and Mt Kenya which are stand-alone mountains and which are relatively short and direct in climbing.
The Rwenzori is, in fact, the highest mountain range in Africa, and as such there are many ups and downs in climbing to the peaks. Even when coming down from the main peaks you have to do a lot of climbing.
The Rwenzori Mountains receive about three (3) meters of rain per year resulting in lush and varied plant life and many wet areas and bogs. The heavy rainfall also results in many species of plants and birds and small animals which is a huge plus as the environment is spectacular.
