Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

This classic Safari starts with a pick-up from Kampala early in the morning, followed by a transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. On this long journey to Murchison, you’ll drive through some popular Towns. You’ll stop at the Zia Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola for an opportunity to Track the endangered rhino species. After rhino tracking at Ziwa, proceed with a drive to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the evening hours.

Arrive at the park and drive to your booked safari lodge. Check-in at the lodge and relax. Dinner an overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Early morning game drive and afternoon boat ride to the bottom of the Falls 

Wake up and go for the early morning game drive where you will see Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Warthogs, Hyenas, various Antelope types, and probably a Leopard. Return for breakfast at the lodge and embark on a boat trip after lunch.

On this boat trip, you will see the Nile crocodile, Hippos, Elephants, and Buffalos on the shoreline as well as various species of water birds.

As you proceed on the trip you will come to the base of the magnificent falls and if you have your eye out for adventure, you can take a hike up the falls.

Your driver will pick you up at the top of the falls and take you back to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park 

Early  in the morning, enjoy breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, embark on a transfer to the park headquarters to start your chimpanzee trekking experience. at the park headquarters, you’ll be joined by other trekkers. After the briefing session, you’ll embark on your trekking experience in Kibale National Park. You’ll follow the lead of your ranger guide and indulge deep in the tropical jungles of Bwindi to search for the elusive chimpanzees. The trekking experience lasts anywhere between 1 to 6 hours. After locating the primates in the forest, you’ll enjoy observing them for one full hour.

Chimpanzees are fascinating to watch. They share up to 97% DNA with humans and you’ll be able to see this reflected as they try to mimic human behaviors. You’ll enjoy viewing the young ones play, mothers, grommi9ng their young ones, and feeding. After your allocated time elapses, you’ll embark on your trek back to the starting point from where your safari guide will be readily waiting to transfer you back to your safari lodge. arrive at the lodge and enjoy a refreshing meal. After lunch and a short rest at the lodge, you’ll embark on your afternoon adventure to the Bigodi Wetland. At Bigodi, you’ll enjoy a guided nature walk. This area is a famous spot for sighting various bird species in Uganda and primates.

After your adventure in Bigodi, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Destination: Kibale National Park

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking at Kibale National Park & Nature Walk at Bigodi 

Wake up and go on an early morning game drive in the park along the delta where you will catch several animals such as Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Warthogs, various Antelope species, Giraffes, and probably the very rare Leopards. You will also come across several species of birds and various plant species.

In the afternoon, go on a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will catch herds of Buffaloes and Elephants, Hippopotamuses, and many other animals as they come for refreshment.

After this adventure, return to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala

Wake up at ease and start your journey back to Kampala. On your way, you will make a stopover at Igongo cultural center to experience the western Uganda heritage.

As you continue to Kampala, you will also make a detour at the Equator where you will enjoy the water experiment and take memorable photographs. After this, continue with your journey to Kampala.
