Day 01: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania where our representative will be readily waiting to welcome you and your family in Tanzania. From the Airport, you will be transferred to a hotel within Arusha Town. At the hotel, you will have rest from the long flight or just have a dip into the pool waters.

Your tour guide will brief you about this 8 days Tanzania Family safari and later leave you to spend your time at the hotel for the rest of the day. You will have dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Arusha.

Day 02: Visiting Mto Wa Mbwa

On this second day of 8 Days Family Safari in Tanzania, you will explore Mto Wa Mbwa, a vibrant village in Tanzania, near Manyara Region. Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, your driver guide will drive you to Mto Wa Mbawa for your exciting safari experience. Mto Wa Mba is known for its cultural diversity, attracting over 18,000 residents from about 120 different tribes across Tanzania.

There is a lot to excite you while here as you can embark on several adventures. You will enjoy a guided walk through the village while learning about the history of this area, taste different local cuisines from different tribes among others. You can also visit the local markets where various items are sold.

You shouldn’t miss out on the impressive artistic skills that are exhibited at the workshops of various artists, they will describe for you the influences and different materials which they use to make their items. You will also learn various artistic techniques for making several items.

Day 03: Mto Wa Mbwa – Serengeti National Park

Today you will visit the iconic Serengeti National Park for iconic safari encounters. Wake up early in the morning at your lodge and have breakfast. After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park. This journey will reward you with stunning views of the beautiful countryside, viewing captivating landscapes, natural beauty and vegetation. As you proceed on the way, you will have a stop over at Olduvai Gorge Museum and visitors center to have a chance to learn about the history of human origins.

Lunch will be en-route and later you procced with your drive to the iconic Serengeti National Park. Arrive in Serengeti National Park and proceed for a thrilling drive across the Serengeti Sweeping plains. Keep an eye out for to spot various wildlife species including the African big Five animals and several mammal grazers. You will drive to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 04&05: Serengeti National Park

The following two days of this Tanzania family safari holiday or Family safari in Tanzania will be spend in Serengeti National Park. You will not only be amazed by the incredible numbers of wildlife but also stunning sceneries of the dotted Serengeti plains.

On each of the following days, you will wake up and embark on thrilling morning game drive in the park to explore its diverse birdlife and wildlife. The morning game drive are best for adventures in Serengeti as you are likely to spot both birdlife and wildlife at the time when they are most active. Keep an eye out for the iconic Big Five African Animals (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and,  buffalo) while on game drive in Serengeti National Park. You will also encounter several other wildlife species including zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, wild dogs, crocodiles, gazelles, and several antelope species. Serengeti is also home to about 500 different bird species and if you are keen enough, you will spot a number of them. Return to your lodge for lunch after the morning game drive.

After lunch, have a short rest and embark on a nother thrilling game drive in the Park. Later after the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 06: Exploring the Ngorongoro Crater

Today following breakfast, depart to Ngorongoro Crater with your lunch boxes. Descend 600 meters to the floor of this crater to enjoy a thrilling wildlife watching tour. The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage site a world natural wonder. The Crater is said to have formed over 2 million years ago. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera.

The crater floor has a range of environments that act as habitat for the alarming populations of wildlife here.

The crater floor is known for its large populations of leopards, lions, buffalos, rhinos, and elephants, among other wildlife species. While here, you are guaranteed to spot several wildlife species including the famous African big Five species. There is also a large number of birdlife that can be seen in the crater. After your adventure in the crater, you will proceed to your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 07: Ngorongoro – Arusha

Today you will wake up early in the morning and enjoy a short morning game drive at the crater floor. After this morning game drive you will return to your lodge for a hefty breakfast. Following breakfast, you  will check out of your lodge and embark on a transfer to Arusha. Along the way, you will enjoy the scenic country side and landscapes. Lunch will be en-route.

Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon and transfer to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 08: Departure

Today depending on your scheduled outbound flight, you will wake up lazily at your hotel in Arusha and have breakfast. After your breakfast, the driver guide will be waiting to transfer you to the airport to catch your flight back home.
