Day 01: Pick up from Nairobi and transfer to Lake Magadi for bird watching

Today, you will start your 7 Days Kenya Birding Safari, your drive guide will meet you at Nairobi from where you will embark on a transfer to Lake Magadi. You will arrive in the afternoon and head proceed for an evening birding experience in Lake Magadi. Lake Magadi is located in the southern part of Kenya, one of the hotspots to spot Kenya’s unique birds on this 7 Days Kenya Birding Adventure.

This Lake is shallow soda lake located within the Rift Valley area. The Lake attracts a variety of bird life including pelicans, Chestnut-banded plover, Northern Crombec, Branded Parisoma, White Bellied Canary, Cut-Throat, Blue-capped Cordon bleu, Crimson-rumped waybill, Grey wren warbler, Taita Fiscal, Fischer’s Starling, Decken’s Hornbill, and Fischer’s sparrow-Lark and flamingos among others. Day 02: Transfer from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha & enjoy bird watching in the afternoon

Following an early morning breakfast from your hotel, your driver guide will pick you up at your hotel in Nairobi and drive you to Lake Naivasha for your next birding experience.  This journey is a short 3-hour drive (80 Kilometers northwest of Nairobi), arrive in Naivasha and Check in at your accommodation. On the way enjoy scenic views of the countryside as you drive from Nairobi to Naivasha, home to over 450 bird species.  Lake Naivasha is a recognized Ramsar site, listed as a wetland of international Importance by the Ramsar Convention.

Day 03: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

Following an early morning breakfast at your lodge, embark on a transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to millions of pink flamingos. This National Park is popular for its spectacular array of wildlife that flook the lake shores of the Alkaline Lake Nakuru. This Place is also regarded as the world’s greatest ornithological spectacle on Earth by avid birders. Millions of pink flamingos flock the lake shores and create a unique and spectacular array of bird life. Day 04: Full Day Birding in Lake Nakuru  National Park

You will later drive back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 05: Transfer to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, drive to Samburu National Reserve for your nest Kenya-watching experience. Explore from the dusty brown Samburu plains to the woodland areas looking for unique, rare, and endangered bird species.  The journey from Lake Nakuru to Samburu Game Reserve is about 3 hours and 40 minutes drive. This journey doubles as a countryside drive as you will enjoy the scenic beauty and landscapes. Arrive in Samburu at time for lunch and check in at your lodge for lunch and a short relaxation.

Explore Samburu as you look out for various bird species like the Somali and white-throated bee-eater, Donaldson-Smith’s Sparrow weaver, vulturine guinea fowl, Black-capped social weave, and the Buff crested bustards among others. There are also wildlife species such as elephants and buffalos. Later return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 06: Full days Samburu National Reserve
