Detailed day by day 7 Days Kenya & Uganda Mountain Gorillas Safari Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Entebbe

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda where you will be met by our representative. He or she will welcome you to the pearl of Africa and then drive you to your hotel for a rest from the long flight. Spend the day resting gearing up for your next adventure or go for an optional City excursion to the top historical and cultural sites of Kampala City, art galleries, and museums.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following breakfast, embark on a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is about 8 – 9 hours however you will have several stopovers on the way. Enjoy th beautiful sceneries and landscapes on the way. You will stop over for lunch.

This journey is rewarding with jaw-dropping countryside views, incredible street art and craft, sights of Ankole long-horned cattle, and traditional villages. Arrive in Bwindi and drive to your lodge where you will have dinner and spend the rest of the night.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On this third day of your 7 Days Kenya & Uganda Mountain Gorillas, you will embark on a life-changing gorilla trekking adventure. Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast at your lodge. Your driver guide will be ready to transfer you to the park headquarters for your gorilla trekking experience. You will join a group of other trekkers or visitors for a briefing on dos and don’t during gorilla trekking.

After you are grouped into 8 members, you will then be allocated to a gorilla group and a team of ranger guides will lead you with other members into the jungle to search for these massive giants.

You are allowed one full hour to observe, and take photographs and videos of gorillas in their natural habitat. After the on hour, you will return back to the starting point. Your driver guide will then transfer you to your lodge for lunch.

After lunch in the afternoon, visit the Batwa Village/community for a cultural experience. You will enjoy listening to legends of the past, and witness the great impact of the traditional dance performance, survival skills, and much more. Later return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala

Today after breakfast, embark on a transfer back to Kampala. You will pass by Lake Mburo National Park for a short game drive to spot the Burchell’s zebras, Cape buffaloes, common warthogs, giant elands, Oribis, bushbucks, Olive baboons, Vervet monkeys, Topis and Rothschild giraffes among others. Arrive in the Late evening and check in your booked hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Scheduled flight from Entebbe-Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight to Kenya. You will embark on a direct flight to Nairobi from where you will be transferred to your lodge for check-in and Lunch.

In the afternoon, you will go for an evening game drive in Masai Mara to look out for wildlife species and birdlife.  After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Expect to spot several wildlife species including, Eastern black Rhinoceros, Masai giraffes, Klipspringers, African lions, bushbucks, common warthogs, Cape elands, leopards, Oribis, yellow baboons, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, vervet monkeys, Cape buffaloes, African bush elephants, wildebeests, Topis, impalas, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, giant forest hogs, Kirk’s Dik-dik, Mongoose, and African wild dogs among others.
