Detailed Day by Day 6 Days Family Safari in Tanzania – 6 Days Tanzania Family Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania. Our representative will be readily waiting to welcome you to Tanzania with your family for your family trip. He/she will then transfer you to your booked hotel in Arusha. Arrive at the hotel and check-in.

You will spend the rest of your evening at the lodge relaxing or taking a dip at the pool.

You will be served dinner at your hotel.

Day 2: Visit Tarangire National Park

Start your day early in the morning with a sumptuous breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park which is just about a 2 hour drive from Arusha. Arrive in Tarangire and have an en-route game drive in the park as you proceed to your booked safari accommodation: Arrive at your lodge and check in. You have a leisurely rest at the lodge while taking in the breathtaking views around.

Enjoy your lunch with family at the lodge and prepare for your afternoon adventure. After lunch, embark on a thrilling afternoon game drive in the vast Tarangire National Park. Renown for its large herds of elephants, your game drive will give you opportunities to spot various wildlife species resident in the park. You will watch giant elephants approaching your safari vehicle and other wildlife species like lions, giraffes, Zebras, buffalos, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, warthogs, baboons, and various antelope species. You and your family will enjoy viewing wildlife on a pop-up roof customized safari vehicle, with enough viewing space for every one.

You will also spot several bird species perched on the trees and some hoovering overhead during your game drive in Tarangire. As the sun goes down, you will witness the stunning scenery of the golden savannas casted by the setting sun – amplifying the feeling of peace and serenity in Africa.

As your day draws to a close, you will be transferred back to your lodge for a relaxing meal and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Ngorongoro Crater

Start your day early in the morning with breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Ngorongoro Crater for your next adventure on this 6 Days Tanzania Family Safari holiday. You will drive through the beautiful countryside witnessing charming landscapes and natural beauty of Tanzania. Arrive at Ngorongoro Conservation area and have an en-route game drive to your booked lodge.

Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and have a sumptuous meals with your family. After lunch, it is time for adventure. Embark on a thrilling adventure in the area, descend 600 meters into the world’s natural wonder, Ngorongoro Crater known for its large wildlife populations. You and your family will enjoy viewing wildlife in the area including all the Africa Big Five Animals (lion, leopard, rhino, cheetah, and buffalo). You will also spot several other resident wildlife species including zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, warthogs, crocodiles, and various birdlife.

There is an option of to visit the Masai Village for a cultural visit after the game drive. Later return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer from Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park & Game drive in Serengeti

After breakfast, enjoy an en-route game drive around the Ngorongoro Conservation Area as you proceed to Serengeti National Park. Explore the abundant form in the region while enjoying spotting some resident wildlife and taking in the stunning view of this region. You and your family will have great moments on your way to Serengeti National Park.

 

Arrive in Serengeti National Park and proceed to your booked safari lodge for a check-in and lunch. After lunch, embark on an adventure in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is one of the world’s most celebrated National Parks, popular for its remarkable wildlife numbers including the Iconic African Big Five and the spectacular wildebeest Migration.

Explore the vast Serengeti on your afternoon game drive, enjoy witnessing resident wildlife species like giraffes, hyenas, lion, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, rhinos, leopards, wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and so much more.

You will immerse your family in one of the world’s most spectacular wilderness. As the sun goes down, you will witness the vast Serengeti savannas bathed in the warm, golden light of the setting sun, with the magical glow of the landscape illuminating in a way highlights its beauty.

Return to your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Full day exploring Serengeti National Park

On the 5^th day of this 6 Days Family Safari in Tanzania, you will spend a full day exploring the iconic Serengeti National Park. Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart for your first adventure of the day. Enjoy your morning game drive in Serengeti to catch more sight of its remarkable wildlife.

Today you will visit new areas that you probably didn’t visit the previous day for opportunities to have a virgin experience in the Park. You will visit several wildlife hotspot for opportunities to witness the famous wildebeest migration.

After your morning adventure, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. After lunch, you can either embark on another game drive adventure with your family or visit the visitors center for some educational activities (optional).

Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure

The 6^th day marks the end of your family safari holiday tour in Tanzania. You will wake up early in the morning and have a short drive around the areas near your lodge. Enjoy the beauty of Serengeti one more last time. Return to the lodge and have breakfast.

After breakfast at your lodge, check out of the lodge and transfer to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure, or continue with onward travel arrangements.
