Detailed day-by-day itinerary for Epic 6 Days Wildlife Safari in Tanzania

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Arusha

Arrive at Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro International Airport for your Tanzania 6 days wildlife holiday tour. From the airport, you will be received and welcomed by our representative who will then transfer you to your booked accommodation at Arusha.

Arrive at your lodge and check-in at your hotel. At the hotel, relax and unwind from the long haul flight, take a sip of an ice cold drink or dip into the pool waters.

You will have dinner an an overnight stay at your hotel in Arusha.

Day 2: Visit Tarangire National Park for elephant viewing

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, to start your Wildlife Safari in Tanzania. The journey from Arusha to Tarangire is about 2 hours. Arrive in Tarangire and proceed for a short game drive through the Tarangire wildlife rich habitat.

Tarangire National Park is popular for its large elephant herds that roam the vast Tarangire wilderness. You will enjoy viewing these majestic animals in large numbers. Besides elephants, there are  several other resident wildlife species in Tarangire National Park including lions, cheetahs, buffalos, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, baboons and several others.

You will enjoy spotting these animals in the stunning Tarangire ecosystem dotted by the giant baobab and acacia trees. After your adventure, you will drive to your booked accommodation facility for a lunch break.

Arrive at your lodge and check in. After lunch at the lodge, embark on another thrilling adventure in Tarangire to spot more wildlife on your game drive. As the sun goes down, witness the golden savannas illuminating the natural beauty Tarangire National Park.

Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Travel to Lake Manyara National Park

Your adventure is not about to stop on this 3^rd day of your 6 days Tanzania wildlife tour. You will wake up early in the morning and enjoy a hefty breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife. The journey does not take so long and its is only one hour drive from Tarangire.

Arrive in Lake Manyara National Park and proceed for a thrilling game drive in the park. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its unique tree climbing that can be seen lounging on the acacia tree branches. Besides the tree climbing lions, Lake Manyara National Park is also home to African elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeests, Hippos, Warthogs, Baboons, Blue monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Impalas, Waterbucks, Klipspringers, Dik-diks, and Hyraxes among others.

After your game drive adventure, drive to your lunch for a sumptuous meal. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in the park. Enjoy more wildlife viewing in different spots you might have not visited in the morning. As your day comes to a close, return to your safari lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Visit the iconic Serengeti National Park

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, home to the Great Migration and an abundance of wildlife. Serengeti National Park is just two hours drive from Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive at Serengeti and procced for a morning game drive to spot wildlife.

Serengeti National Park is home to an abundance of wildlife including Leopards, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeests, Hippos, Warthogs, Baboons, Blue monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Impalas, Waterbucks, Klipspringers, Dik-diks, and Hyraxes among others. You will enjoy spotting these species on your game drive.

After your morning adventure, you will have a short lunch break. Drive to your lodge where you will have lunch and a short rest. After lunch, embark on an enriching wildlife game drive in the Serengeti plains. Explore some popular wildlife hotspots within the central Serengeti.

After your adventure, return to your lodge and relax by the infinity pool or indulge in a spa treatment.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Northern Serengeti)

This 5^th day of your wildlife safari tour in Tanzania will be spent exploring the vast golden plains of Serengeti National Park. Following an early morning breakfast at your lodge, embark on a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park. You will depart your lodge with your packed lunch.

Visit the northern part of Serengeti National Park for opportunities to spot the spectacular wildebeest migration. Enjoy witnessing the abundant for here and the wildebeest migration. If you are keen enough, you may witness top predators in action.

You will have a break in between the game drive for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot. After lunch, proceed with your exploration of Serengeti National Park. After your adventure you will return to your lodge.

As the day comes to an end, savor a gourmet dinner at the lodge’s elegant restaurant, recounting the day’s adventures.

 

Day 6: Departure

Today you will bid farewell to Tanzania. Wake up and have breakfast at your lodge at leisure. After breakfast, you will be transferred from your lodge to Seronera Airstrip for a flight to Arusha. From Arusha, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
