Detailed day by day 8 Days Serengeti Safari itinerary (8 Days Tanzania Safari in Serengeti)

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania to start you 8 Days Tanzania Safari in Serengeti. Our representative will welcome you at the airport and then transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. You will enjoy a leisure afternoon at your hotel in Arusha. Later in the evening, your guide will joing you for a briefing about this 8 Days Serengeti Safari.

Have dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: Transfer from Arusha to Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)

Wake up early in the morning at your lodge and have breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, embark on a transfer to Arusha Airport for a booked flight to the Serengeti. Arrive at Seronera Airstrip in Serengeti National Park where you will meet your safari guide and begin your first game drive in the central Serengeti. Serengeti is renowned for its abundant wildlife that you will encounter during Serengeti Safaris on game drives.

The central Serengeti is home to abundant wildlife including lions, leopards, and elephants. You will drive to the Seronera River Valley for remarkable wildlife sightseeing experiences. as the day goes by, you will stop and have a picnic lunch in the Serengeti wilderness in one of the scenic spots.

After lunch, continue with your game drive in Central Serengeti, visiting iconic landmarks like the Retina Hippo Pool and various wildlife hotspots in the Area. Immerse yourself in Serengeti’s unique wilderness and enjoy incredible safari experience.

As your day draws to a close, you will be driven to your luxury tented camp or lodge in the central Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer from Central Serengeti to Western Serengeti

Today following breakfast, depart Central Serengeti and drive to the western side of the park. The western Serengeti also teams with large numbers of wildlife that you will enjoy viewing and also popular for large numbers of Wildebeest. You will explore the Grumeti River area famous for its crocodile-infested waters and dramatic wildebeest river crossings during the Great Migration (seasonal). While here, you can have opportunities to witness the iconic wildebeest migration as the large herds of grazer mammals force their way through the crocodile-infested River ‘‘Grumeti.’’

You will have a picnic lunch at a scenic spot overlooking the plains. Later after your delicious meal, continue with your adventure in this area. Enjoy another evening game drive for opportunities to spot more wildlife. Keep an eye out for the iconic African Big Five Animals (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant). The area is also rich in birdlife and you will see a number of them as they hoover overhead and some perched on the Acacia trees or savannahs.

As your day draws to a close, drive to your booked luxury camp or lodge in the western Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Full day exploring Western Serengeti

On the 4^th day of your 8 Days Serengeti Safari tour, you will spend your whole day adventuring through the scenic western section of Serengeti National Park. Start your day early in the morning, have breakfast at your lodge and embark on a thrilling game drive in the park. You will visit popular wildlife spots like the Grumeti area for excellent wildlife viewing experiences. The Grumeti Area hosts a large number of wildlife species and also hosts the wildebeest migration. You will explore the various ecosystems of this region whildst enjoying remarkable wildlife watching experiences.

After your morning game drive in the western region of Serengeti National Park, you will return to your lodge for a delicious meal and a short rest. After lunch embark on another thrilling game drive adventure to have opportunities to spot more wildlife. Some of the wildlife species you are likely to encounter in the western part of Serengeti include; lions, buffalos, rhinos, giraffes, crocodiles, wildebeests, zebras, and several antelope species.

As the day transforms into night, you will drive to your booked accommodation facility for a sumptuous dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer from Western Serengeti to Northern Serengeti

Following an early morning breakfast at your lodge, depart for the northern Serengeti, driving through diverse landscapes and game viewing along the way. Arrive in the north and proceed with a thrilling short game viewing safari in the verdant plains to spot different wildlife. Later drive to your booked lodge.

At your lodge, enjoy lunch and some leisure time before embarking on another thrilling safari in northern Serengeti. After lunch, embark on a game drive in the area to spot the diverse range of wildlife species including lions, leopards, buffalos, wildebeest, hyenas, and giraffes among others.

You will also visit the areas near the Mara River region, known for its dramatic wildebeest river crossings during the Great Migration (seasonal). If well timed, you will enjoy witnessing this natural phenomenon as large numbers of mammal grazers force their way into through the crocodile infested Mara River. You might even see a kill in action as the migrating mammals usually attract large predators in the region.

After your evening adventure in the area, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Full day Exploring Northern Serengeti

Today following a morning breakfast at your lodge, embark on another morning game drive in the northern Serengeti. Explore the region to sigh different wildlife including those you might have missed during the previous game drive. You might even have another opportunity to witness the wildebeest migration while exploring this area.

You will also adventure various wildlife hotspots like the  Lobo Valley and other scenic areas known for their large lion prides and resident elephants. Enjoy game viewing in this area with plenty of opportunities to have some beautiful photographs of both wildlife and the stunning environment.

You will stop over and enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness and continue with your game drives in search of wildlife.Keep an eye out for lions and leopards in the region.

Latter in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer from Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart for the central Serengeti enjoying game viewing along the way. Arrive in Central Serengeti and proceed to your lodge. You will have a short rest at your lodge and enjoy a sumptuous lunch.

After lunch, embark on a thrilling game drive in the Central Serengeti to witness elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, hyenas, cheetahs, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, African Wild dogs, and several antelope species among others.

Later in the evening return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Central Serengeti to Arusha and Departure

Today you will wake up and have breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, you will transfer to Seronera Airstrip for your return flight to Arusha.

At Arusha, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight back home.
