Day 1: Arrival in Kampala

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your dedicated Uganda Eco-Explorer 14-Day 13 Nights Safari driver/guide who will be with you throughout your safari adventure. You’ll then be transferred to Kampala, Uganda’s vibrant capital city, where you will spend the night at either Imperial Royale, Metropole Hotel, or The Lodge. These accommodations provide a comfortable and relaxing start to your journey, allowing you to recover from your travels and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Kampala offers a glimpse into modern Ugandan life with its bustling markets, historical landmarks, and lively atmosphere. Day 2: The Marvelous Murchison Falls National Park

Your Uganda Eco-Explorer 14-Day 13 Nights Safari truly begins today with an early morning departure from Kampala. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 am, and after a meet and greet, you will set off for the magnificent Murchison Falls National Park. The journey takes you northwest through Uganda’s scenic countryside, with a stopover in Masindi for a leisurely lunch. Spanning 3,840 square kilometers, Murchison Falls National Park is a haven for wildlife, boasting 76 mammal species and 450 bird species.

Upon arrival, you’ll visit the “Top of the Falls,” where the Nile River dramatically squeezes through a narrow gorge just six meters wide, creating one of the world’s most powerful waterfalls. Bwindi is not only famous for its gorillas but also for its rich biodiversity, including over 350 species of birds, 200 species of butterflies, and 120 species of mammals. Day 10: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

Today is the highlight of your Uganda Eco-Explorer Safari – an unforgettable trek into the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to encounter the endangered mountain gorillas. After an early breakfast, you’ll be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. The trek can take between two to eight hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, and it requires a reasonable level of fitness as you navigate through dense vegetation, steep slopes, and sometimes muddy terrain.

But the effort is well worth it. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll have an hour to observe them as they go about their daily lives – feeding, playing, resting, and caring for their young. This close encounter with one of the world’s most critically endangered species is a profoundly moving experience that you’ll cherish forever. After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest. In the evening, you have the option to visit the nearby Batwa community to learn about their traditional way of life or simply relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of the forest. Day 13: Return to Kampala

After an early breakfast, take on a morning game drive. Lake Mburo National Park is a very special place; every part of it is alive with variety, interest and color. It contains an extensive wetland. You are likely to see elands, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, topis and zebras. After a leisurely game drive, you’ll begin your journey back to Kampala, with a stopover in Uganda Equator Line Crossing in Kayabwe.

The drive takes you through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda, offering one last glimpse of the beautiful landscapes that have defined your safari. Upon arrival in Kampala, you’ll check in at your hotel for your final night in Uganda. The evening is at your leisure, giving you time to relax and perhaps do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs. We have luxury latest Land cruisers each driven by professionally trained driver guides and fuel. They have pop-up roofs for proper game viewing and photography. They come with a small fridge for cooling your drinking water while on safari (which is always included while In the Vehicle).

They have inverters for charging small gadgets such as smartphones and cameras. They can seat five to a maximum of seven people and each client is guaranteed a window seat.

Gorilla Tracking

This Pearl Uganda Safari Tour includes a day dedicated to tracking mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The cost of the gorilla permit is included in the safari tariff. Due to the high demand for permits, it is advisable to book well in advance. Once the permit is issued and paid for, it is non-refundable in case of cancellation. Please communicate your interest as early as possible to secure your permit.

Visa Requirements

A visa is required to enter Uganda. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Visas can be obtained upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or through the Uganda embassy in your country.
