Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya to start your 7 Days Kenya & Rwanda Mountain Gorillas package. On arrival, you will be met by your driver guide who welcomes you into Eastern Africa for your thrilling safari tour. He/she will then transfer you to your Hotels in Nairobi.

Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve & Evening Game drive

Day 03: Exploring Masai Mara National Reserve
Today you will spend your day exploring Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, embark on a full day game drive – you will depart your lodge with packed lunch boxes and drive to the sweeping plains of the Mara to search for different animals. You will explore the Mara while enjoying sightings of spotted hyenas, African wild dogs, duikers, cheetahs, African bush elephants, zebras, wildebeests, bushbucks, Masai giraffes, Cape buffaloes, aardvarks, African hares, lions, cheetahs, warthogs, yellow baboons, and leopards among others.
Drive to the Grumeti and Mara Rivers to witness the deadly river crossings during the Great annual migration. You will witness millions of wildebeests, Zebras, and gazelles as they try to cross the crocodile-infested rivers. This spectacular event is further spiced up by the large predators that follow up the migrating mammals in an attempt to prey on them.

Day 04: Morning game drive and return back to Nairobi City for flight to Kigali
After breakfast, go for a short morning game drive through Masai Mara National Reserve to recap the different animals that were spotted and possibly catch more sights of the ones that were missed during the previous days of safari. Return to your lodge and prepare to depart Masai Mara as you drive to Nairobi City, for a scheduled flight to Rwanda’s Kigali International Airport where you will have your next adventure. Arrive in Kigall and check in your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 05: Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

You will visit various tourist spots within Kigali like Kigali Genocide Memorial Center/s, and Craft markets where a collection of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, and Tanzania items can be purchased.

Day 6: Mountain Gorilla trekking Tour in Volcanoes National Park
On this day you will wake up early in the morning and embark on your gorilla trekking adventure in Volcanoes. You will wake up very early in the morning and have breakfast at your lodge. Your driver guide will then drive yo to the park headquarters where you will have a briefing about your gorilla trekking tour. You will join groups of other visitors at the headquarters – you will be allocated a gorilla trekking family to trek.
Treks can take anywhere between 1-4 hours and visitors are rewarded with one hour to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek, you will return to the starting point where your driver guide will be waiting to transfer you back to your lodge
In the afternoon, embark on a guided walk through Gorilla Guardian Village to gain insight into Rwandan culture and traditions. You will enjoy various activities such as brewing banana beer, preparing traditional medicines, making local dishes, enjoying local dance performances, and experiencing a day in the life of a Rwanda Royal. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

The National Park covers an area that is about 160 km2 composed of a rainforest and five of the eight Virunga Mountains.
This National Park is known for its incredible population of endangered mountain gorillas. Volcanoes is home to about 10 different habituated mountain gorilla families that visitor come to trek each day. Besides mountain gorillas, Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda is also home to several other wildlife species such as golden monkeys.
