Detailed 12 Days Tanzania Wildlife and Cultural Tour

Day 1: Arrival at Arusha Airport

On arrival at Julius Nyerere international airport, you will be received by our representative who will take you to Willy’s cottages or Oasis Lodge for dinner and overnight. (FB)

Day 2 – 3: Full Day Adventure in Tarangire national park

Wake up early in the morning and embark on your journey to Tanzania’s third-largest national park. After lunch, go for a nature walk through a Bantu tribe village nestled between the savannahs and the rift valley floor. On this 12 Days Tanzania Wildlife & Cultural Tour adventure, you will visit the Maasai village settlements as well as observe their way of life.

On your journey back to the lodge, you will probably come across a variety of beautiful animals within Tarangire national park. Return to Tarangire river camp for dinner and overnight. (FB)

Day 4: Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park

Leave for Karatu early in the morning, cross the floor of the Great Rift Valley near Lake Manyara. Stop by the local villages where you will purchase handicrafts and traditional items as well as experience the daily lives of the people of Mto Wa Mbu or Karatu.

Continue to Lake Manyara national park where you will be pleased to spot several animals such as the Manyara Lions, Elephants, and many other animals. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farmhouse.

Day 5: Lake Eyasi to Ngoronroro Crater Area

Day 6-7: Full Day Adventure in Ngorongoro National park

Wake up at dawn and enjoy a game drives on the savannahs as you spot several animals such as; Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Buffaloes, Zebra, Wildebeests, Rhinos, lions, Cheetahs, Hyenas, and many other animals.

You will also be surrounded by a wide variety of beautiful birds. Spend your afternoons visiting the Maasai cultural Bomas where you will learn more about the unique and colorful culture. All meals and dinner at Ngorongoro Crater Verge. (FB)

Day 8- 11: Full Day Adventure in Serengeti national park

Wake up early and embark on a trip to the Maasai village which will definitely enrich your 12 Days Tanzania Wildlife & Cultural Tour. Spend time at the local Orphanage, visit the local Bushmen, and engage in the interesting cultural practices of the Maasai people.

Start your 12 Days Tanzania Wildlife & Cultural Tour early with a morning drive to the beautiful Serengeti plains. While at the Serengeti, you will go on morning and evening game drives, boat trips, air balloon trips, and many other adventures of your preference at an additional cost.

The Serengeti has been the home to the Maasai, semi-nomadic people along the rift valley from time immemorial. While on your cultural visit, you will see the beautiful traditional boma made of sticks, mud, and cow manure, a village school, and a chance to purchase handicrafts made by the Maasai people.

You will also be joined by a Maasai elder who will explain the traditions and customs related to livestock, marriage, and construction of homesteads, traditional attires, and education of the Maasai children.

Meals and overnight at a private mobile campsite in the wilderness.

Day 12: Serengeti National Park to Arusha Airport for Departure

Board an aircraft from Arusha early in the morning. You will be transferred to Julius Nyerere International airport where you will catch a flight back home.

Alternatively, you can continue to the beautiful land of spices (Zanzibar) and receive the rich cultural history of the people on the Island. This trip extension is at an additional cost.
