Volunteering in Uganda
Uganda is becoming a must-visit destination for world travelers and many wonders and asks, is it safe to visit Uganda? Yes, Uganda is safe to visit for any kind of safari. Uganda is safe for tourists from all over the world no matter their nationality. Uganda just like any other country has had its insecurity problems however, the country has been so blessed not to have insecurities so severe to tourists.
Uganda is safe and stable for tours in Africa as long as you work according to the guidelines and make sure you take good care of personal security. Uganda’s capital-Kampala is one of the safest cities in Africa and tourists who have visited this city before have left with almost no safety problems. Petty theft and things like credit card scamming and over charging can be avoided if any traveler is well prepared and has taken note of all the precautions before getting out in the city.
To ensure each tourist on a Uganda safari is safe, hotels and all forms of accommodation facilities have security personnel to ensure all residents or visitors to the hotels are safe. Banks, shopping places like supermarkets, bars, offices, stores, all around the country also ensure these areas are safe and tourists are safe. In case you would like to visit any of your country’s embassy in Uganda, you can easily visit the embassy and inquire about any of your queries.
Uganda has a total of 10 national parks where tourists can visit for Uganda gorilla safaris, birding tours, chimpanzee trekking or any other activity. All of these national parks have security personnel and armed park rangers to ensure tourist security in the parks. For activities that take tourists up close to the jungle-like gorilla trekking, each group of 8 tourists is accompanied by 2 armed park rangers to ensure the safety of those trekking.
The government of Uganda has ensured that the country is safe and therefore security is ensured in the different parts of the country and as well the possession of armed weapons is limited in communities. Many Ugandans do not own armed weapons in their homes and therefore there fewer shootings in the country. Visit Uganda and enjoy a peaceful stay in the beautiful Pearl of Africa with no worries.
